Commercial and Industrial Photographer in Calgary
Calgary Photographers tend to have an eclectic blend of work as the amount of photography jobs in Calgary isn't quite what you'd find in Toronto or Vancouver. I'm certainly one of those photographers. One day I may be doing an fashion shoot and the next day wearing overalls and a hard hat doing an industrial photography gig. For a guy who likes to change things up, doing a wide variety of photography prevents any chance of stagnation. Below are some samples of commercial and industrial photography I've been contracted to do from clients in Toronto and Calgary. Advertising photography for The Met condo development
Pentagraphix found my experience in interior and fashion photography a perfect fit for an online campaign they were creating for The Met Condo development in Arizona. They needed to have a set in which the model sat in the same spot but showed a day scene and a night scene. The photography was primarily used as an interface for the website. It was also a significant production to build the set, pre-light and shoot as you'll see in the behind-the-scenes set photo.
Industrial photography for Galleon Energy
Galleon Energy required an extensive archive of industrial photography to pair with their new visual branding. A two and a half day photo shoot near Grand Prairie took the Creative Director and myself to a number of locations. Everything from sour gas pumping stations to oil drilling rigs we photographed. It is truly amazing the scale of production that the oil and gas industry has become in Alberta. The facilities I had access to were incredible feats of engineering, while being a photographic feast.
Advertising photography for Streetside Condos
This advertising campaign from Creative Intelligence was created to show the perks of living in a condo rather than a detached home. The photography was done on location in October so all the snow you see was brought in from a local hockey arena. After 2 truckloads of snow and a helluvalot of shoveling we covered enough of the front yard to look believable.
Commercial photography for Park Place Mall
The Kick Creative Group created a campaign based around fashion photography to showcase the variety of higher end retail stores available at Park Place Mall in Lethbridge. The photography was used in a variety of formats from outdoor billboards to in-mall signage. Thanks to all the Kick folks for all their help.
Advertising photography for Gillette (Tag body spray)
The beautiful and quick-witted Trish Stratus was the spokesperson chosen to lead the online campaign for TAG. The photography involved a couple of trips out to Toronto, and nearly a week of shooting everything from product photography to fashion photography of the "Huntresses" and Trish. The promo ended and the website with all this work is now offline. However here's a video (wmv, sorry Mac folks, it's what they gave me) of when the "A-List" entertainment show came on set to interview Trish.
Commercial photography for Truition
Flying out to Toronto for another photography job, Fuel Advertising chose me to shoot this ad depicting a Dad and his daughter fighting over clothing. Normally through a casting agency, these two people wouldn't know each other but in "real" life they are actually father and daughter, which made their reactions to each other even better.
