Architectural and Interior Photography Portfolio

Interior photography is a very solitary sport. It is the polar opposite of fashion photography. When lighting a room a photographer can spend hours getting anywhere from three to ten lights perfectly positioned to create depth and shape. Architectural and Interior Photographers are the most meticulous breed of photographer there is. In the highly social world of fashion it can be nice on the occasional photography gig to pull back and focus on the one thing photographers should really obsess over; lighting. It's a bit Zen in that way. Over the years I've been very fortunate to attract clients from across Canada including brands such as Marriott and Hilton and also work with some of Calgary's best luxury home builders.

Interior Photography Tardar Homes Calgary

Interior Photography of Taradar Luxury Homes Calgary

Taradar is a Calgary based luxury home builder that has been kept busy with the booming economy. They approached me about photographing one of their spec homes that fetched a bit over $5 million. An absolutely spectacular home, they needed it showcased in the best possible light for a series of ads they were running in magazines. Upon seeing the finals they said "your work is incredible". Thanks, but the house ain't so shabby either ;)

Interior Photography Vancouver Marriott

Interior Photography at Vancouver Marriott Hotel

This downtown Vancouver hotel is located in the heart of the beautiful Coal Harbor waterfront and is a short walking distance from Stanley Park. In this very competitive industry, having professional quality interior photography is key in capturing greater market share. Marriott even has guidelines for exactly how the photography should look. I've been out to this property a number of times for interior photography and destination images to showcase the surrounding attractions.

Architectural Photography Hilton Whistler

Architectural Photography at Hilton Whistler Hotel

The newly renovated Hilton Whistler Resort needed interior and exterior photography done of their property. They also needed interactive panoramic images of Whistler Village and the incredible scenery of the surrounding mountains. This photography job was very diverse involving everything from hiking around mountains shooting virtual tours to photographing models relaxing in the pool, and of course a whole lot of interior photography.

Architectural Photography Sothebys Priddis Alberta

Exterior Photography for Sothebys International

A massive corporate retreat in Priddis Alberta (previously a summer home for a very, very wealthy man), this home was massive. It was put up for sale through Sothebys and required architectural photography that went well above what the standard expected for real estate photography. It was to be used in multiple publications and required a photographer with experience in shooting high end homes. Thanks Sothebys!

Interior Photographer Ottawa

Interior Photography at Les Suites Hotel Ottawa

Good photography sells rooms. Great photography increases ADR (at least that's what I'm told). This Ottawa hotel needed a variety of interior photography done for their print collateral, group sales, and their newly renovated website. This four day long photography spree yielded them a wide selection of media and apparently helped as their bookings increased and they received plenty of positive feedback about the new interior photography.

Interior Photographer Calgary

Interior Photography at Holiday Inn on Macleod Trail Calgary

A local Calgary hotel was looking for new photography to use on their upcoming website. Internet sales are a massive driver of revenue for hotels and having professional interior photography seems to play a greater role than it ever has. The consumer has access to so many choices via travel sites and simply googling "calgary hotels". The impression the photography makes is apparently a decisive factor in getting those folks to click the "Book Now" button.
